Charlesburg (also Charlesburgh) is an unincorporated community in the town of Brothertown in Calumet County, Wisconsin, United States.〔(Wisconsin Directory of History-Charlesburg, Wisconsin )〕〔Calumet County map http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/maps/docs/counties/calumet.pdf〕 ==History== Charlesburg was settled in 1855. One of the landmarks in the community is its Catholic Church called St. Charles Church. It opened in 1866 and closed in 2005.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.lib.cua.edu/rarebook/taxonomy/term/6848 )〕 The original settlers were Anton Reinl, Raymond Lodes, Joseph Nadler and Joseph Fisher. The first settler was probably Anton Reinl, an immigrant from Bohemia which was then part of Austrian Empire, as were Lodes and Nadler.
